- Chinese buffet: Number 1 Buffet

- Hot Cheetos and cheese (QuickTrip) for birthday movie night! (I was rewatching Misfits)

It is called a Plush Memory Foam Pillow for Reading and Relaxing by Clara Clark. It is quite plush hehe.

4. Plain white t-shirt from men's section, 1 small size and 1 medium size (Hane's or Fruit of the Loom)

5. Old Navy black pixie ankle length pants, size 12, curvy, skinny OR straight fit (Ma got me one of these)

🚶🏽‍♀️ Activities:

- Go to the Burton Barr library and see Mom finally use her Phoenix library card!

We did go to the Burton Barr library after going to the Velma Teague library. Sadly, Mom's old library card didn't work :((((, but we did find two copies of a short book that we can read together as part of our new Mother Daughter Book Club! As we were leaving I saw this ad and took a pic so I can check it out later.

- Also ask Mom to tell me the story of when she first got her library card so i can record it and type it on my reading blog :)

Here is the transcript of what Ma said about where she got her old library card:

"Probably got it from the one by the Phoenix Memorial Hospital where we used to go to for doctor's appointments. The one she is referring to is the Harmon Library on 5th Ave. & Buckeye Rd. She said that the building that's there now is new and we used to go to the older building that was there. After our doctor's appointment Mom said she used to take Senia and I to the library to try to read a book and check it out. Then that's when she decided to sign up for a library card! :D

- Ale and I go to the 3 other Glendale library branches to browse the book sale and use our 2 coupons we got from our Summer Reading prizes

1. Velma Teague Library: no good books in the book sale area, but I did try to find some thin books and found two interesting books! Kill Joy by Holly Jackson and The Silence by Don DeLillo. As we were walking to the library there were two cute pumpkins by some benches and Ale wanted some coffee from one of the cute places around Downtown Glendale. We went to the one we visited last Christmas or so. It's called Coyote Oatie Cookies.

2. Foothills Library: This was Ale's first time visiting this Glendale branch. She found two books!

These are the two books that she got!

Ale thought that that the Foothills Library was a cute place for old people. She said that she wanted to explore more of the place.

I only found one called The Reader by Bernhard Schlink. My other coupon is now expired and sad.

- If weather permits, take a walk after the birthday dinner

After the buffet all of us except Senia went to Friendship park to walk off the food. It wasn't far from the buffet. It was nice. We swung on the swings for a bit. We saw lots of rabbits and frogs! And a small mouse! So cute! The frogs make sense when I saw this mural:

We stayed until the park closed at 10 p.m.

So the day after my birthday Ale didn't have to work, so we could spend time together that day. I wrote down what we did that day in my weekly planner:

1. We went to Country Boy's for breakfast. It was good. It's been a while since we went there.

2. Then we went to this antique mall called Armadillo near the metro mall by the old house. We've never been to an antique store. There was so much stuff in there that it was almost overwhelming. But Ale bought a nice looking license plate.

3. Then we drove to Mom's old work area near Fry's Electronics. There was a Spirit there that I've never been to. It was cool. I saw the cutest rubber black kittycat Halloween decoration! We got some more Halloween decorations for the house there.

4. Then we drove back to Glendale and went to the Target close to Walmart on Thomas. We went there so Ale can return a shirt and so we can exchange the shirt she gave me for my birthday for one size bigger.

5. Then we drove to Dollar Tree. I needed to get some batteries for one of the new Halloween decorations we got from Spirit. I also got a 2.5x2.8 pillar candle that smells like fresh linen, an oil glass bottle for Ma cuz she kept saying that she wanted one (Plus! It's only $1.25!), an USB wall tap, and a phone stand. I went in my new favorite Dollar Tree location by myself then I walked to Walmart since it wasn't so far away. Ma and Ale waited in the car. So nice!

6. Then we went to Walmart to look for stake lights and for Ale hygiene stuff. We didn't have luck finding the stake lights, so we went to Lowe's next.

7. Lowe's: I saw that they had stake lights for a good price. Since we've been walking around all day Mom needed to take a seat, so she used their portable carts. Ale got a door knob and we got 8 new stake lights. They look so nice because the light projection looks like water on the ground.

8. Then we went to Culver's for my birthday ice cream, and I bought Mom and Ale their Culver's dinner because they were nice to me on my birthday. It was yummy! I got vanilla ice cream with malt powder on top. Yummmmy! :P While we were eating we watched that new Mario movie and we heard someone driving to Culver's with Google Maps voice and it was hilarious! XD

9. Then we went home and relaxed from a long day. I think we did some Halloween decoration too.

1. I planned to wake up at the time I was born which is 10:36 a.m. I even made an alarm for that exact time, but Mom woke me up a minute before and she hugged me when I sat up from bed. That was so sweet. We were planning to go to "Flavors of Louisiana" at 12:00 p.m., but Mom called them and found out that they did not have beignets. So we had to go somewhere else because I wanted a restaurant who served beignets. She searched for restaurants who served beignets and found the restaurant that's next to the Changing Hands bookstore in downtown Phoenix.

2. We drove to the restaurant called "Southern Rail". I got tomato soup and grilled cheese. They didn't have hush puppies, those bitches! >:( BUT! They did serve beignets! I thought it was cute that they had one candle on there.

3. Then we drove back home for cake and gifts. I wanted a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Mom got it from Fry's and it said, "Happy Birthday, Denise!" on top of the cake! That was really nice! I sang with them with my guitar to my cake and made my wish. They had a number 2 and 5 candle on top of the cake. The cake was just as good as that Boston cream pie. Then I went to open my gifts.

- I think I opened Ale's gifts first? I loved the pink birthday gift wrap! I will post pictures here. She got me a bed sheet set that is so adorable and the pattern is called, "Tulip Toss." It's from Target. She also got me a YTG inspired shirt from Target's men section. It was a bit small so we went back to Target days later to exchange it for a size M. I also got birthday black Cheetos from Ale. It was in a beautiful gift box. I think everything was from Target. Ale wrote me a note. So cute! Also, some cute paper garland was in the gift box. I'm writing this a week later, so my memory could be bad.

- Then I opened my Mom's gifts. She also had a gift box. Inside there was a corduroy burgundy bootcut pants and I loved those. Also, there was a long sleeve black shirt. It goes well with the outfit. I can't wait for the weather to cool down so I can wear it. Also, some paper garland in there too. I will put some of those keepsakes in my junk journal. They each wrapped the gift boxes and that was perfect! There was also a $50 birthday gift card. Very nice.

- Then Senia had one of the best gifts! She had her gifts in an absolutely cute book tote bag. The material is very stable. There was another black birthday Cheetos bag. A pair of book socks. She also got me a bag of bike shorts that fit me very well! I love them! They are so comfortable. She also gave me some flowers! They were so nice.

These bike shorts are in order of which one I've worn first, left to right.

I haven't worn the gray bike shorts yet as I am writing this blog post.

4. Then we just chilled until Ale had to leave for work. We went to Neighborhood Walmart for my mocktail, "The Elixir of Immortality," from IWTV SDCC and for movie snacks. Senia wanted some Cheetos. The drink was delicious! We watched a mystery movie that I thought was really boring, but I sat through it anyway. After it was over, Senia left and Mom and I went to this place where they serve hush puppies called Q's Fish and Chips. I thought that they were delicious! Yummy! :P I would have taken a photo of the hush puppies, but I didn't. They were still delicious.

5. Then we came back home and went to sleep.
