Hey there and welcome to my web log! I am Denise. I created this blog for fun and to post anything that I would like to share with you. This is kind of like a Mindful Journal place for me. I have random thoughts, so don't expect this to be constructed or organized. Keep going down for posts and don't forget to look around the blog. Thank you!

Classical Music
I feel like classical music takes me to another world unventured. To a beautiful place similar to heaven.

My Review of Xavier Mortimer's DVD
Xavier Mortimer by Jean-Luc Betrand - DVD
https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S13622
I loved it!
An Enchanting Whimsical Dream!
I loved it!
I first saw Xavier Mortimer in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. and I loved it so much! There was a lot of audience participation and I thought that was fun and cool! I loved Xavier’s performance and facial expressions. After we left Vegas I was still thinking about the city lights and that wonderful show. I couldn’t stop thinking about that show, so I wanted to learn everything about this Xavier Mortimer frenchman. I saw all of his social media content and even saw his old French acts on television shows.
While I was doing my research I saw that he had a DVD available and I told myself that I needed to see it! I raised the money and I was so excited when I ordered it! I also loved that in the email I got from Penguin Magic they sent me a GIF of them holding up a sign with my name on it. I thought that was so cute of them to do. Although I thought they would send that note in the package, I still loved the thought.
I just watched the DVD for the first time yesterday and I loved every second of it! It felt like I was in the audience because it was a silent show where Xavier did not speak. It was interesting to see his acts as they were first performed because I remember him saying that he has updated and improved his acts since he first performed them in France. I do wish that there were more features on the DVD, but I wasn’t expecting there to be, so I guess that’s fine.
I would recommend this DVD to anyone who has seen his show in-person and if you’re a fan of Mr. Bean and everything magic related.

I hope to see another DVD from Mr. Mortimer in the future! I will be sure to support him again! ♥️
I submitted this review to the Penguin Magic website and they said thank you and that my review will help other magicians.

My Creative Projects
I think I need that passion; that drive. I want that project that makes me want to stay up all night to get it done and see my progress. I have experienced that multiple times before. I love the process of it more than the final product because once it's done you can never experience it for the first time ever again, which is extremely saddening. I loved what Xavier Mortimer said about how much he loves magic that he would spend a lot of money for a single trick that might or might not be successful. In interviews he said that he gets ideas for new magic tricks when he writes down every idea he has. He said that he would wake up and sit down in front of a blank white piece of paper and write down anything and every little idea that came to him. I would guess that once he did that for a while he would have this large bank of ideas to choose from and see if they work or not. I find that so inspiring! I love the advice he gave about not giving up. It applies to all aspects of life, not just magic.
I like to record my creative process.
